Laurens was active both in SMEs and multinationals in Belgium and observed there a never-ending challenge: businesses eager to grow faced an ongoing shortage of skilled labor for certain bottleneck professions.

Steven`s career brought him to The Philippines, working for multinationals and starting his own business. There he saw first-hand the abundance of motivated, talented individuals, however many of them were facing limited job prospects and social mobility.

After countless conversations they decided to pursue a mission to solve both challenges using their complementary experiences and shared values.

A company that would serve as a bridge between the two worlds—one that would not only help Belgian businesses thrive by giving access to a new dedicated workforce but also provide life-changing opportunities for Filipino talent through meaningful employment. Bayani Talent was born.

Where does the name Bayani Talent come from?

Bayani means "hero in the community" in Tagalog, the language of the Philippines. It is also used to refer to the millions of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs). They go far to support their families at home by working abroad. We believe that they will support Belgian companies' growth and vice versa the Belgian companies will enable their workers to realize their dreams.

Worked in an array of local and multinational businesses both in Belgium and beyond, for various roles in sales, marketing, insourcing and project management. Laurens is the ideal person to drive this project and make the dream come to life.

Steven Dejager

Chief Integration Officer & Founder

Worked for several multinationals in Asia and became an entrepreneur in the Philippines. He is often referred to by Filipinos as half-Belgian, half-Filipino. Next to a heart for improving Filipino lives, he has a passion for HR solutions, marketing, business development and community.

Jasmin Alunan

HR Operations Manager

With nearly 14 years of experience in Human Resources, Jas is a Certified Human Resource Professional. She has thrived in several industries such as Business Process Outsourcing, IT & Financial Services across various roles. She is known for her professional rigor, strategic approach and will lead the HR Operations of Bayani Talent.
